Humanize AI Text in Spanish, German, French or Italian: What the Sentence-by-Sentence Check Caught in 20 Texts

By Fırat Mıhcı, founder and lead ESL researcher at MeteGPT (ResearchGate). First published and last updated October 30, 2026.

TL;DR: 19 of 20 texts in Spanish, German, French and Italian passed a widely used commercial AI detector on 3 Sep 2026, and 193 of 195 sentences stayed consistent with the source. Sentence-level meaning held at 74%, against 90% for a text compared with itself. Paste yours into MeteGPT: each sentence is checked, and one that fails stays as written.

Writing outside your first language has one particular fear attached: a rewrite can drift, and you may not hear it. A figure shifts, a name appears that nobody cited, a sentence quietly says the opposite, and the prose still sounds lovely.

So MeteGPT treats a second-language rewrite as something you should be able to verify. Paste your draft into the humanizer, and it works through the text one sentence at a time, holding each against your source. The sections below walk through each language in English, followed by the same guidance in that language, written for its own readers. The engine covers four languages, Spanish, German, French and Italian, and other languages are not covered.

  1. Paste the text into the tool. Copy your Spanish, German, French or Italian draft into MeteGPT.
  2. Let the language be detected. There is no language setting to choose; the tool recognizes the language by itself.
  3. Run the rewrite. Each sentence is checked against yours, and one that fails the check stays as you wrote it.
  4. Compare numbers and names with the source. Read the result beside your draft, starting with figures and proper names.

How Do I Humanize AI Text in Spanish?

To humanize AI text in Spanish, paste the draft into MeteGPT and run it; the language is detected automatically, so there is nothing to select. All 5 Spanish test texts passed a widely used commercial AI detector, tested 3 Sep 2026. Afterwards, check proper names first, since a Spanish reader notices those slips.

How Do I Humanize AI Text in German?

Humanizing AI text in German takes the same steps: paste, run, then compare against your source. All 5 German test texts passed the same commercial detector on 3 Sep 2026. Spend your review time on figures, dates and long compound terms, which pack in so much meaning.

How Do I Humanize AI Text in French?

French AI text goes through the same flow, with no language setting to touch. All 5 French test texts passed that detector in the 3 Sep 2026 run. Read the result as your reader would, and confirm that your tu or vous holds from first line to last.

How Do I Humanize AI Text in Italian?

Italian works the same way: paste the text, let the tool recognize the language, and review the output against your draft. Four of the 5 Italian test texts passed the same detector on 3 Sep 2026, which completes the 19-of-20 total. Check figures and names, then confirm the register suits your reader.

In italiano. Per umanizzare un testo IA basta copiare la bozza in MeteGPT e avviare: l'italiano viene riconosciuto senza impostazioni. Ogni frase nuova passa un confronto con la tua. Se sparisce una cifra, compare un nome estraneo o il senso si ribalta, per quella frase resta la tua versione. Poi rileggi con calma cifre, nomi e date, e verifica che il registro (tu o Lei) vada bene per chi ti legge. L'account gratuito offre quattro prove da massimo 250 parole, una tantum.

Does the Rewrite Keep My Numbers, Names and Meaning?

The rewrite kept every number in our test, and the sentence check looks for lost figures, names that were not yours and claims your draft never made. What fails goes back to your wording, so read the names and facts once before you hand it in. Meaning held at 74% at sentence level, against 90% for an untouched copy of the text and 26% for a text on another subject.

That 90% is the number to read first. Even an untouched text compared with itself reaches only 90% on this measure, so it is the practical top of the scale. The 20 test texts (5 per language) were never seen in training. Here is what to look for, with what the check found:

  • Sentences the check held back: 28 of 185 stayed as you wrote them, and the other 157 (85%) were rewritten.
  • Figures you wrote: 100% carried over, so your count in the source should match your count in the output.
  • Sentences that say the opposite: 193 of 195 rewritten sentences stayed consistent with the source.
  • Sentences the source supports: 85% overall.
  • Meaning, sentence by sentence: 74% overall.
  • Commercial detector, 3 Sep 2026: 19 of 20 passed (Spanish 5 of 5, German 5 of 5, French 5 of 5, Italian 4 of 5).

For how we report our own measurements in general, see the MeteGPT evidence method.

How Do I Check What Changed in the Other Language?

Check what changed by reading the rewrite beside your source, in this order: numbers, names, then meaning. Three short texts of your own are enough to judge any tool in your language. A free account covers this test with room to spare, since each text only needs to fit inside 250 words.

  1. A text full of numbers. Use a passage with dates, percentages and amounts. Count them in the source, count them in the output. The two lists should match.
  2. A text full of names. Use one with people, places and institutions. Look for any name that was not in your source, and for any that changed form.
  3. A text with an argument. Use one where a sentence says “but”, “unless” or “not”. Read those sentences side by side, because that is where a rewrite can flip a claim while still sounding fine.

Finish with register: the tú or usted, Sie or du, tu or vous, tu or Lei you chose should still be there at the end. If your text must also clear a screening step, read how a detector and a humanizer work together for the order to run them in. For English drafts, the English walkthrough covers that flow, and our humanizer ranking sets out how we compare tools.

Which Plan Covers My Other-Language Texts?

Your other-language texts use the same plans as English, so length and volume decide the choice. A free account gives you 4 runs of 250 words each, one time, which suits a test. Basic at $18 a month handles chapters and articles at up to 1,000 words a run.

  • Free: an email, a paragraph or the three-text self-test. Details on the free tier page.
  • Basic, $18 a month: up to 1,000 words a run and 80 requests every 30 days, for students and occasional writers.
  • Pro, $27 a month: up to 1,200 words a run and 150,000 words a month, for weekly articles or a store in several languages.
  • Ultra, $48 a month: up to 3,000 words a run and 300,000 words a month, for agencies and long documents.

Four languages get this sentence-by-sentence check by name, and each result above is measured on them. Start with your own paragraph in the MeteGPT tool, and when the text outgrows 250 words, pick the plan that matches your workload.

Evidence summary and test scope. All figures on this page are MeteGPT’s own measurements of our other-language engine: 20 texts, 5 each in Spanish, German, French and Italian, none seen in training. The detector test ran on 3 Sep 2026 on a build made the same way as the live engine; the figures for numbers, meaning, source support and consistency were measured on the live engine on 30 Oct 2026. A measurement describes these texts; your own text is the one to check, which is why the self-test above exists. Disclosure: Fırat Mıhcı builds MeteGPT.
