Who builds this
MeteGPT is built and run by Fırat Mıhcı, an ESL writing researcher. Full transparency: it's his second tool in this space — he also runs HumanizeMyAI. We'd rather tell you that on the about page than have you find it in a Reddit thread. Same builder, same rewriting engine under the hood, different product: MeteGPT is built around verify-before- you-submit, with the detector check wired into every run.
What powers the rewrites
The engine conditions every rewrite on a named, published style source: 2,590 real student essays, over five million words of genuine human academic writing, indexed for retrieval. Ask other humanizers what their style model actually learned from and you mostly get silence. Ours is named and sized, and the built-in 29-pattern detector — the same one behind the free detector page — scores every rewrite before it reaches you.
You'll notice this page quotes no pass rates. MeteGPT is new, and we hadn't finished a benchmark we'd put our name on at launch. When we publish one, it will come with dates, inputs, and methodology. Until then the free tier exists so you can test the claim that matters — on your own text.
What we refuse to fake
- No invented numbers. If a percentage appears on this site, we measured it or we link to who did — our methodology page lays out exactly how every claim is sourced.
- No affiliate money from tools we discuss — mentioning a competitor earns us nothing.
- No fake reviewers, testimonials, or editorial personas. Fırat is the byline; future contributors will be real, verifiable people.
- No training on your text. What you paste is processed and returned, not retained for training.
Where this is going
The near-term roadmap: publish our first public detector benchmark with raw outputs, and build out guides that source their evidence from documented community reports — linked and dated — rather than marketing pages. If that discipline slips, tell us directly; the contact page reaches Fırat, not a support queue.
