MeteGPT is operated by Mihci AI Studios LLC (30 N Gould St Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA), founded by Mehmet Fırat Mıhcı, the data controller. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what choices you have. Plain English first; legal scaffolding where it is required.
What we collect
- Email address: only if you create an account. Used for login, password reset, and product update emails you can unsubscribe from. Stored in our application database; transactional email sent via Resend.
- Humanize / detect inputs: the text you paste into the tool is sent to our LLM providers (Anthropic, OpenAI) for processing and a detector vendor (GPTZero) for scoring. We do not retain your inputs after the request completes. We do not train our models on your inputs.
- Anonymous quota cookie: an HMAC-signed cookie that counts your daily free runs so the 4-per-day limit works without an account. Contains no personal data; resets at midnight UTC.
- IP address: logged briefly for rate-limiting (50 humanize / IP / day) and abuse prevention. Not associated with your account unless you are signed in.
- Usage analytics: Google Analytics and our first-party conversion journey are enabled only if you accept analytics on our banner. They use random visitor/session identifiers, landing page, referrer host, campaign and CTA, never card fields or full IP. Declining stops behavioural analytics; essential checkout and payment audit events are still recorded to operate your purchase and prevent duplicates.
- Payment data: card payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your card number; we receive only the order confirmation, plan, status, provider object IDs and your email. Incomplete Stripe Checkout sessions are marked abandoned only after Stripe reports that the session expired.
What we never do
- Sell your data to third parties.
- Train our humanizer model on your inputs.
- Track you across other websites.
- Run third-party advertising pixels.
- Share your text with anyone outside our LLM / detector providers required to process the request.

Your rights
Under GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA (California), you can request a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to delete it, or correct it. Email hello@metegpt.com with the subject "Data Request". We reply within 30 days.
Retention
Account data is kept while your account is active and for 90 days after deletion request. Inputs to /humanize and /detect are not retained server-side (they pass through and the response is returned). Anonymous quota cookies expire at end of day.
Children
MeteGPT is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.
Changes
We will post material changes here with the "Last updated" date refreshed. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
